Meet Alex

Following an engineering and management career in the automotive original equipment industry with Uniroyal Canada and Magna International, Alex made a life changing decision with his wife Janice to move to “Cottage Country” and begin a new career in new home sales and construction. In 1986 Alex and Janice founded Granite Point Homes primarily to market Lindal Cedar Homes and Hanover Kitchens.

In the following years Alex obtained his real estate license and an international real estate franchise which grew to four offices in north Muskoka and The Almaguin Highlands. Following the sale of his interest in the franchise and the decision to semi retire, an unexpected opportunity arose which postponed Alex’ planned retirement, indefinitely. Real Estate has remained a big part of his life, but with Royal LePage Lakes of Muskoka.

Alex’ experience building and selling new waterfront homes as well as resales for many clients during the past 30+ years may be of value to you. His experience may be of particular help to those that are looking for the right lot to build their dream home.

Alex has also done considerable research on “Fractional Ownership”, with particular interest in applying the concept to private cottage sales. He has personal experience with this cottage ownership option and is convinced that it has a great future and makes a lot of $ense for cottagers that use or need, less than a full-time ownership in a cottage.

A recent example of Alex’ commitment to his profession is he has completed the educational requirements through the National Association of Green Agents and Brokers and is now an “Accredited Green Broker”. www.nagab.org
